In support of the living...

In memory of the deceased...

Whom we have loved, still love and will always love...

I am sure you have all heard the expression "When it rains, it pours."  For me, that expression always seems to hold true when people die, making their transition from this world to the next.

It seems you can go for the longest time and not hear about anything happening to anyone, then you hear about one person and the next thing you know you hear about a whole bunch.

It all seems to happen at once, with loved ones leaving in little batches.  Someone once said to me that deaths tend to come in threes.  If you hear of one person who has died then there are two o thers about to happen as well.  Oddly enough, I recently experienced that happening.  A colleague of mine lost her son to suicide, then a student at my daughter's school died suddenly in a tragic accident and finally an old neighbor and family friend died of cancer.

This phenomenon always seems to happen for me as I approach or enter the month of May.  The month that brings us mother's day and, for me, the memory of watching my own mother make her transition.  A bittersweet experience - relief that they are no longer suffering, (mom died of cancer) and yet deeply sad and heartbroken that they are gone because death is so final.  Their physical presence will never be in our lives again.

May also brings us Memorial day, a time to honor the memory of our loved ones.  Especially our veterans, policemen and firemen who died in the service of their country or in the line of duty.

It is also a month where I feel called compelled to share my experiences from both ends of the spectrum.  My knowledge and experience as a medium, as well as the point of view of one who has lost a loved one.

We all feel compelled to give something when people die; sentiments, visits, donations, food, love and support to help ease the stark reality.

Sometimes it also inspires us to champion a cause or raise public awareness.  All of which are good and noble outcomes.  But there are also those times when we just may not know what to do or say.

In this, as with all things in life our angels are here to help us.  The Archangel Azrael is the angel of the deceased.  If any of you remember the television series "Touched by An Angel" with Roma Downey and Della Reese playing incarnated angels, there was another character named Jonathan, who always showed up when someone's time was up.  That is how we can think of Azrael, a gentle quiet angel whose name means "whom God helps".

He helps people to cross over to Heaven at the time of their physical death and to adjust to the other side.  He also helps those who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.  He is an angel of comfort, he can put your mind at ease and help you to sleep better at night.

He also helps those who are grief or bereavement counselors to help keep them from absorbing the emotional pain of the many clients they are trying to help.  Whether you are a grief counselor or just someone looking to help a friend or loved one who has experienced a loss, Azrael can guide you in finding the right words or appropriate action to show your support and help them to heal.

For those who feel called to the ministry of mediumship, Archangel Azrael can guide you to the right teachers to help you develop your skills and to the people who need your help.

People don't often think of mediumship as a ministry, but I believe it is truly an act of service to address people's needs for connection and closure with their loved ones.  Our relationship with our loved ones doesn't end with their physical death.  Just because they no longer have a physical reality doesn't mean they have stopped loving you.  Love goes on forever, in all directions of time and space, it is all encompassing and has no opposite.  Your loved ones seek to heal and improve our post death relationships.  Both you and your loved ones benefit by continuing to have conversations with them after their passing.  It eases the soul and brings about peace for both of you.

Mediumship is simply proof of survivorship beyond the veil of what we call death.  Proof of life beyond that which we can see with our physical eyes.  Many enlightened saints and mystics have told and demonstrated to that, in fact, there is no death.  Jesus demonstrated this in the biblical accounts of raising Lazarus from the dead and his own appearance to the disciples after His death.

You do not have to be especially gifted to be or become a medium.  Everyday people have experiences of mediumship, they just don't always know what's going on or how to deal with it.

Sometimes it spooks them a bit or makes them think they are going crazy. Everyday people come to me with stories of signs from their loved ones and wanting to know the message.  That is why I felt inspired to develop a new program called Everyday Mediumship.

It is designed with the everyday person in mind who needs to understand about how our loved ones communicate with us to feel more at peace.  It is a program this excellent for those who are simply curious as well as those who want to begin a journey toward professional mediumship.

In general, Archangel Azrael is an angel who heals the heart of grief from loss of any kind.  He helps us to deal with the emotional wounding that can take place as a result, especially when dealing with feelings of anger and betrayal.

Sometimes we all need a little help coming to terms with the changes and transitions of life.  Angels can be called upon to help comfort and to actually lift the heavy emotions from our mind and heart, to help us sleep better at night and feel more uplifted and rejuvenated.
